The countdown to TechnologyWorld09 has begun, and delegates from some of the world’s most prestigious blue chip companies will soon be descending on Coventry’s Ricoh Arena to soak up the best of British tech experience and expertise. So, what to expect for 2009?

With more than 640 companies in attendance, all hoping to boost contacts and sign deals which will help to grow their business, this fifth annual conference is set to be bigger and better than ever. Low-carbon technologies are high on the agenda this year, with featured seminars including Greenovation: using technology innovation to meet the challenge of climate change and Digital Systems KTN – Smart and Green @Home. Mobile healthcare will also be a hot topic, alongside new broadcast and wireless technologies – but, if you fancy something completely different, you’ll also find the companies creating anything from educational computer games to object-recognition systems for the blind and visually impaired.
One thing’s for sure: the 1,000+ attendees will certainly have plenty to talk about. Stay tuned to our blog and Twitter account (@UKtechLIVE) for breaking news, interviews with key delegates and industry experts, and profiles of well-known and promising UK technology brands. Alongside international names such as HSBC and up-and-coming tech brands like Zuztertu, we’ll be chatting to the team from UK Trade and Investment and hopefully you!
It looks set to be a pretty action-packed show. See you there?

As the Deputy Director of High Technology Sectors and Head of the Tech trade team at UK Trade and Investment, I’m thrilled at the response to TechnologyWorld09. The British technology industry is more vibrant and inspiring than ever before, and it’s through events such as this that UK companies can find the support and expertise to succeed in international markets.
